Rama Navami is celebrated as the birthday of the classical Rama each year on the 9th Waxing Moon in the Tamil month of Chitra (mid-April to mid-May).
Rama is considered an archetype of perfection, someone who lived the highest values. He was an enlightened warrior prince who set an example of always doing the right thing. He is often depicted with a bow and arrow. The very name RAMA is filled with energy to give guidance on our spiritual path and to give blessings for our material needs. Swamini Valli will talk more about this during the Group Fire Lab. Rama’s name contains victory consciousness. He is a winner, and he never loses. Connecting with Rama can give us a winner’s brain. Just repeating the name RAMA enlivens victory consciousness within and accelerates success in all our endeavors. Rama can bring out the very best in us and enable us to live an uncommonly fine life. Rama is a form of Vishnu with tremendous healing energies. Rama is compassionate and keen to help those who approach with humility.
